                                        Our Workshops & Programs

Summer Professional Development Workshops

Our "Summer Professional Development Workshops" are designed to teach youth job-readiness skills and professionalism. Summer workshops are conducted every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer.

Workshop focuses include:

1. Looking the Part- "Learning how to dress for a job interview"
2. Language and Speech- "Code-Switching”: Learning to Speak as a Professional
3. Learning the Rules - "Policies & Procedures- knowing the importance of workplace etiquette (i.e. timeliness, policies & procedures, respect, and more)
4. Mock Interviews- Youth will participate in mock interviews with business professionals to learn how to go on  a professional job. They will be assessed on their level of professionalism as well as receive feedback on how to improve.

*Youth who complete the summer workshops will participate in a closing ceremony. During this ceremony, they will be presented with certificates for their summer participation and will also receive free professional dress clothing items. Parents and guests are invited to attend.

Career Camp

Tools For Success, Inc. "Career Camp" is a FREE, fun, interactive Camp designed to help youth get exposed to careers and college, through hands on learning and personal interaction with career professionals. The camp allows youth to meet business professionals from various career fields, provides job-readiness training, allows youth to ask questions to professionals through a career panel and includes a FREE college & career tour to local colleges and businesses. The program runs for two weeks every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer and concludes with a "College & Career Tour".

Groups & Organizations Personalized Workshops

Tools For Success, Inc. also conduct personalized group workshops for youth groups and organizations year-around. Some workshop topics include:

• Job Readiness - (How to prepare for the workforce)
• Education Empowerment - (The importance of Education)
• Tools For Success - ( A personalized workshop to empower youth on the importance of Education, Professionalism, and Mentorship)
